Rental of Hired Goods

1.1 The Rental Term is the term described in the package details1.1 The Rental Term is the term described in the package details, or as otherwise specified for dates agreed between the Customer and RENTACRATE NZ or otherwise known as Nay & Lake Limited t/a Rentacrate NZ

1.2 The Rental Term runs from the date the Customer receives the Hire Goods until the day the Hire Goods are collected from the Customer by RENTACRATE NZ.

1.3 The Customer takes responsibility for the Hire Goods immediately the Hire Goods are delivered to the Customer at the customer’s designated delivery address.

1.4 The Customer is liable for any loss of or damage to Hire Goods during the Rental Term.

1.5 If the customer wishes to extend the Rental Term beyond the initial hire period additional charges will apply (see also clause 8.2 below).

1.6 Additional Freight charges: If collection is in a different region or outside Rentacrate’s usual delivery / collection areas, a freight charge fee will be charged inline with quoted cost from local freight company to relocate the crates to a Rentacrate Base. If a customer is unsure of these costs, the customer can ask Rentacrate for a quote for the relocation of the crates before creating a booking. Example, crates delivered to Auckland, to be picked up in Whangarei will attract a freight charge.

Additional Fees for Hired Goods

2.1 The Customer is not required to pay a Bond for any Hire Goods rented from RENTACRATE NZ.

2.2 The Customer agrees that RENTACRATE NZ is entitled to charge to the Customers credit card used for booking, any Cancellation Fee, Product Replacement Charge, Late Fee, Cleaning Fee and/or any other charge or fee incurred by the Customer.

2.3 RENTACRATE NZ will advise the Customer before any additional fees are processed.

2.4 In any event where a customer’s credit card can not be used to process any additional fee, the customer is to pay the balance due to RENTACRATE NZ within 7 working days of any such charge or fee being incurred.

Customer Obligations

3.1 Upon taking delivery of Hired Goods, the customer agrees to ensure the Hired Goods are securely stored throughout the Rental Term.

3.2 The Hired Goods should be used by the Customer in such a manner so as not to cause damage to the Hired Goods, including damage by overloading, dropping/throwing, writing on or applying additional labels, or excessive soiling including any oils, paints, solvents or toxic substances.

3.3 At the completion of the Rental Term the Hired Goods must be securely stored in a dry area out of the weather pending collection by RENTACRATE NZ.

3.4 The Customer is responsible for all loss, theft and/or damage of or caused to the Hire Goods whilst the Hire Goods are in the customer’s possession.

3.5 The Customer must ensure all Hired Goods are accounted for and ready for collection on the agreed Rental Term end date. An additional fee of $45 inc gst will be payable by the Customer if RENTACRATE NZ has to make an additional collection trip.

3.6 The Customer must ensure that they or their nominated person are available at the agreed pick up date/time to allow RENTACRATE LTD access to pick up the Hired Goods. An additional fee of $45 inc gst will be payable by the Customer if RENTACRATE NZ has to make an additional collection trip.

3.7 The Customer must provide RENTACRATE NZ with at least 48 hours notice if the Rental Term end date is to be extended.

Orders

4.1 RENTACRATE NZ will accept orders via the website Orders page for Hire Goods and Packaging Goods, subject to the Customer address being within the free delivery area (postcode based) and valid payment being received.

4.2 RENTACRATE NZ will accept orders via phone or e-mail, subject to stock availability, upon customer acceptance of the quoted price and/or payment received.

4.3 Should RENTACRATE NZ be unable to meet an order placed for any reason whatsoever, RENTACRATE NZ will contact the Customer to advise of same and refund any payment made by the Customer within 48 hours of the order being placed and payment being made.

Payment

5.1 Successful credit card payment is required in order to complete an online order.

5.2 RENTACRATE NZ will accept payment by direct internet transfer for invoiced hires and/or additional fees.

5.3 RENTACRATE NZ will only accept a Cash payment on Delivery by prior arrangement.

5.4 RENTACRATE NZ will NOT accept payment by way of cheque.

Delivery of Hire Goods and Packing Products

6.1 Upon delivery of the Hire Goods to the customer , the customer is required to examine the Hired Goods and acknowledge that the Hired Goods are received in good usable condition and that the Hired Goods are suitable for their intended use.

6.2 Delivery is available only in the Region described under the Product Description or confirmed by the POST CODE confirmation. RENTACRATE NZ, at its discretion, may agree to deliver to a customer outside the Regions by prior arrangement only.

6.3 If neither the Customer nor any person nominated by the customer to accept delivery of the Hire Goods and/or the Packaging Products is available at the designated delivery location at the scheduled delivery (or pick up) time, a re-delivery fee of $45.00 inc gst will be charged.

Cancellation

7.1 The Customer may cancel their order at any time free of charge up to 24 hours prior to the designated date of delivery, by e-mailing info@rentacrate.co.nz or phoning 0800 710 710.

7.2 Any cancellation made later than 24 hours prior to the designated date of delivery will be charged a Cancellation Fee of $45.00 inc gst.

Return of Hired Goods

8.1 All Hire Goods must be returned to RENTACRATE NZ prior to expiry of the Rental Period.

8.2 If the Customer wishes to extend the Rental Period beyond the initial hire period the customer must contact RENTACRATE NZ at least 48 hours prior to arrange an extension of the Rental Period subject to additional charges.

8.3 All Hire Goods MUST be returned to RENTACRATE NZ in an undamaged condition, dry, and with any debris or excessive soiling removed.

8.4 If any Hire Good is returned broken, cracked, written on, excessively marked, has any labels attached, has excessive soiling or spilled substances, and/or is damaged in any other way it will be deemed to have been returned to RENTACRATE NZ in other than acceptable condition.

8.5 The customer will be responsible for payment of a cleaning charge of $25.00 inc gst per crate for any Hire Good not returned in a clean and acceptable condition.

8.6 A replacement charge of $50.00 inc gst will be charged for every crate or dolly not returned at the end of the hire period, or returned in such a condition that it can not be returned to a good usable condition by cleaning.

8.7 A replacement charge of $150.00 inc gst will be charged for every hand cart not returned at the end of the hire period, or returned in such a condition that it can not be returned to a good usable condition by minor repairs.

Price

All prices are stated in New Zealand dollars (NZ$) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST).
